The set will be available for $199.99 and includes a detailed model of the massive Republic Gunship, the first in a series of LEGO Star Wars sets that will feature vehicles from all six movies in the franchise.
The lego star wars republic gunship 2021 is a massive, 1,020-piece set that includes the Republic Gunship and its pilot.
When it comes to LEGO, the Star Wars Millennium Falcon is one of the most spectacular, as well as the most expensive. While many fans have acquired the 7000+ piece model to their collections for about $800, there is another Star Wars series craft that fans have been waiting for over a year to get their hands on. Last year, the Republic Gunship from Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and The Clone Wars series was revealed as the newest addition in the Ultimate Collector Series after defeating the TIE Bomber and Nebulon B Escort Frigate in a fan poll. From August 1st, the 3292-piece kit will be available to buy from LEGO.com for the comparatively low price of $349.99.
Two pilot cockpits, swing-out spherical gun turrets, two cannons, opening sides, a rear hatch, and interior elements are included in the Republic Gunship, a 3292-piece LEGO kit. The ship will be 13 in. (33 cm) tall, 27 in. (68 cm) long, and 29 in. (74 cm) broad when completed. Clone Trooper Commander with a gun and Mace Windu wielding a lightsaber are among the mini-figures.

The starship is the newest LEGO set, with the Millennium Falcon and Imperial Star Destroyer standing out among the collection’s highlights. Another set due out around the same time is “Boba Fett’s Starship,” which sparked a flurry of internet debate when it was revealed recently, ostensibly altering the name of Fett’s vessel from Slave I to just “Starship.”
LEGO Star Wars Lead Designer Michael Lee Stockwell stated, “We’re not calling it Slave I anymore.” “This is the Starship of Boba Fett.”
Jens Kronvold Frederiksen, LEGO Star Wars Design Director, said, “Everybody is [dropping the Slave I name].” “It’s probably not anything that has been publicly stated, but it’s simply something that Disney no longer wants to utilize.”
While the name change appears to coincide with the terms “slave” and “master” being phased out of a variety of industries, it isn’t the first time it’s been done in the Star Wars franchise, as the “Slave Leia” costume from Return of the Jedi was removed from Star Wars merchandise after some critics claimed it had objectifying and sexist roots. “‘What am I going to tell my child about why she’s wearing that outfit?’ said the outraged parent. Tell them I was kidnapped by a huge slug who forced me to wear that ridiculous costume, and then I murdered him because I didn’t like it “In a 2015 interview, Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia, stated. “After that, I removed it. Backstage.”
The Republic Gunship, thankfully, did not require any name changes and made it to production without offending anyone, so it can be purchased without explanation – except perhaps to your other half when they ask where the bill money has gone – when it launches on LEGO’s website on August 1st around 12am ET.
Star Wars is one of the most popular topics.
