The NBA All-Star Game is coming up on February 18th and many people are still picking their favorites. We’re going to go over the four players who deserve a spot in this year’s game, even though they don’t get as much attention.
The “nba all star voting” is a topic that has been discussed for years. This year, the NBA All-Star Game will be held in Toronto. The four players who deserve to make the team are LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid, and Nikola Jokic.
The NBA’s All-Star Weekend is approaching quickly. Stephen Curry, LeBron James, and a slew of other NBA superstars will almost certainly headline the event, but who are some of the lesser-known players that may be in Cleveland next month?

Is it really 2017? No. Kevin Love’s position in this Cavs team is quite different from what it was when he was alongside Kyrie Irving and LBJ. Regardless, his season is deserving of All-Star consideration.
Love has averaged 14.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 29 games, while shooting 43.3 percent from beyond the arc on 6.1 attempts. His true shooting percentage of 64.2 percent is the highest in his career. Love averages 24.5 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per 36 minutes when spread out. Love, on the other hand, has a greater worth.
The 33-year-defensive old’s box plus-minus score of 1.0 is his highest of his career. According to NBA.com, he presently has the greatest defensive rating and third-best net rating of his career. Some of it derives from playing with Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley, two of the best frontcourt defenders in the league. Love’s ability to contest while still switching out on guards, on the other hand, is vital to the Cavs.
Love is just one spot behind Allen in terms of value over replacement player (VORP). For a player that seldom plays more than 21 minutes each game, that’s incredible value. Allen has been outstanding this season and is a potential All-Star selection for Cleveland. Plus, given his playing time, Love is unlikely to have the ability to count numbers. Nonetheless, he is deserving of greater attention.
Toronto Raptors’ G Fred VanVleet

Fred VanVleet’s enthusiasm and output are similar to those of his mentor, Kyle Lowry. These attributes make the Toronto Raptors guard a possible NBA All-Star selection.
VanVleet has a 20.9 point, 6.7 assist, and 5.0 rebound per game average. On 8.8 attempts a game, he’s shooting 40 percent from outside the arc, good for a career-high 58 percent true shooting percentage. But, as good as VanVleet has been on the attacking end, he’s been even better on defense.
In terms of deflections per game and loose balls retrieved per game, the former Wichita State star is tied for first in the NBA. His 1.6 thefts per game go hand in hand with those figures.
VanVleet’s worth is also reflected in the on-off splits. When he’s on the floor, the Raptors outscore opponents by 5.5 points per 100 possessions, giving him a plus-minus of +19.2 per 100 possessions.
Only three Eastern Conference guards, Trae Young, James Harden, and Zach LaVine, have a higher VORP than VanVleet. In that area, he is ranked 17th overall, just below Ja Morant. Isn’t this a great group of people?
The 27-year-old is enjoying his greatest season ever, and the Raptors would be in serious trouble without him. In Cleveland, VanVleet should be named to the All-Star team.
San Antonio Spurs’ Dejounte Murray is a guard.

Because of the level of the backcourt players in the Western Conference, Dejounte Murray’s route to the NBA All-Star Game is significantly more difficult than VanVleet’s. The San Antonio Spurs guard, on the other hand, has put up impressive stats.
Murray has 17.8 points, 8.8 assists, and 8.4 rebounds per game. His actual shooting percentage is below 50% because he’s been less effective on twos, but he’s shooting a better clip from beyond the arc (34%) on more volume than last season. When he gets into the paint, the 25-year-old is a fantastic facilitator, scoring on floaters and jump hooks while also having the patience to find rim-rollers and cutters for easy goals.
Murray’s worth, like VanVleet’s, shows through even more on the defensive end. He’s tied for first in the league in deflections per game alongside VanVleet, and he’s 17th in defensive box plus-minus. After Chris Paul and Patrick Beverley, this puts him in third place among Western Conference guards.
In terms of backcourt skill in the West, the Washington native is mostly unknown. It also doesn’t help that the Spurs aren’t very good. Murray’s two-way influence, on the other hand, is difficult to dismiss as undeserving of an All-Star selection.
Milwaukee Bucks’ G Jrue Holiday

Jrue Holiday is and has been one of the top guards in the game for many years. Despite this, he has only made one NBA All-Star appearance. That is just incorrect, and it should be corrected this year.
Holiday is enjoying another fantastic season for the Milwaukee Bucks, and in the process, he’s motivating Giannis Antetokounmpo. He’s averaging 18.5 points, 6.5 assists, and 4.5 rebounds while shooting 50.4 percent from the field, including 37.7% from beyond the arc. Meanwhile, the advanced figures are out of this world.
With Holiday on the court, Milwaukee outscores opponents by 12.5 points per 100 possessions. The Bucks are -6.1 points per 100 possessions when he sits. So far, they’ve gone 2-5 in games he’s missed. It’s fairly clear how crucial he is to the reigning champs.
